Diamond Painting in Red, Yellow, and Blue

by Piet Mondrian :

Our word description of our abstract drawing:

The paper with the picture on it is 5 in. tall and 7 in. wide. There is a large diamond in the middle of the picture. From one point to another it is 3 in. long. The whole background is black except the diamond in the middle. There is a square on the left middle of the diamond. It is white with a black outline. To the left of the square is a triangle which is at the right point of the diamond. The point of the triangle has a point cut off on the right side of it. There is a triangle below and it goes into the square half an inch, but it's under the square. Next to that is a gray rectangle with a point broken off. It is one inch long until it gets cut off because of the diamonds. One inch is cut off on the point. Below that is a little triangle. It is lighter gray. Next to the gray rectangle is a small, yellow triangle. It goes up vertically. Its points face upward. Above it is the right point of the diamond. It is black. Above it, next to the complete square, is a light blue square with the right point broken off. Above that is a blue triangle. One inch to the left of that is a light blue triangle with its point broken off.

 Reflections on our progress:

We forgot to tell you that there's a red triangle in the left hand corner. You forgot to do the black outlines. You need to make the shapes so that they cover up the whole diamond, and we forgot to tell you that! Everything else was fine. Great Job!
