Our word description of our abstract drawing:
This piece of art has many squares and rectangles. In the right corner at the bottom, there is one big square. It is two and a half inches high and about three inches across. It is light blue and shows a lot of light. On top of it is a rectangle that is six centimeters high and three inches across. It is a light purple. Above that is a thin layer of orange one centimeter high and three inches across. Above that is a dirty white rectangle, nine centimeters high and three inches across. On top of it in the corner is a square, seven centimeters high and seven centimeters across. It looks like orange, purple, and white fading together and is outlined with red.
In the center is a mark that looks like a lower case j. Across from it is a two and a half inch long across and seven centimeters high. Again, it too is a fading group of colors which include orange, purple, and white. The rectangle across is seven centimeters and three centimeters high. The color of it is orange.
The rectangle under it is seven centimeters a across and five centimeters high and it is orange. Across from the two orange rectangles is a pale yellow rectangle. It is and inch high and seven centimeters across. Across from that is a pink rectangle. It is five centimeters across and 11 centimeters high. The rectangle above the pink rectangle is dark blue and 8 centimeters high and 6 centimeters across.
A smaller rectangle that is under the dark blue and next to the pink, is light blue and a little purple. It is 8 centimeters high and 2 centimeters across. A rectangle next to the blue rectangle is 5 centimeters high and 3 centimeters across. The color is yellowish brownish.
Straight underneath it is a dirty mustard colored rectangle, 11 centimeters high and 5 centimeters across. To its right, is a blue rectangle 11 centimeters high and 3 centimeters across. On its right side is a pink rectangle, ten centimeters high and seven centimeters across. Now you'll pass the end of the big, white rectangle above the row you're working on. Pass it, and start drawing a white square (with a little bit of orange and purple in it) about half an inch high and about half an inch across. Under that row and to the left, start drawing a purple and yellow square six centimeters high and 5 centimeters across. To its right is a dark green rectangle 5 centimeters high and 2 centimeters across. To its right is a blue rectangle 5 centimeters high and 2 centimeters across. To its right is a blue rectangle 5 centimeters high and one centimeter across.
Next to the little blue rectangle is a pink triangle. It is 7 centimeters and 3 centimeters high next to the blue rectangle. Under the triangle is a very light purple rectangle. It is 2 inches and 11 centimeters high and 7 centimeters across. On the side of the purple rectangle and under the blue rectangle is a yellow strip. It is 2 centimeters across and 2 inches and six centimeters high. Next to that is a green strip the same height and width. Next to that is a rectangle. It is 2 inches and 7 centimeters high. It is 4 centimeters across. On the left of that is an orange rectangle, 1 centimeters across and 2 inches and 5 centimeters high. On the right of the purple rectangle that is 2 inches high and 7 centimeters across is a blue rectangle, 2 inches by 11 inches and 11 centimeters.

 Reflections on our progress:

We made a lot of mistakes. For instance, instead of a lower case j, it looked more like a slightly curved mark. We thought that by saying, "They were next to each other" that you would think there were no spaces. Also, we should have written mm instead of cm. Instead of saying "on top" we should have said "above the square."
