Our word description of our abstract drawing:

There is a beige background. It's about 4 and a half inches long, and about 3 and three fourths inches tall. There is a yellow rectangle that is about 1 and a half inches tall and about one inch long. There are twelve lines, total. All lines are black.
There is a line about three fourths of an inch from the yellow rectangle that is one sixteenth of an inch thick and 2 and one third inches long. There is another line that is one twentieth of an inch thick and 1 and one sixth tall. That line goes nine tenths of an inch into the yellow rectangle.
Another line is one eighth of an inch thick. It goes one inch into the rectangle. It is one and one eighth of an inch long. Another line is about one eighth of an inch thick. It is right on top of the yellow rectangle. It is also 1 one eighth of an inch long. There is another line that is one half of an inch under it. It is the exact same thing as the other line one half of an inch above it.
There is another line that is next to the yellow box. It is 2 inches long. It is one sixteenth of an inch thick.

 Reflections on our progress:

Dear David and Alek,

You did a pretty good job. You put the yellow rectangle in the right place. You colored the lines correctly, also.

You didn't quite get where the lines were or how many there were. We don't know how you got that huge line overlapping the yellow rectangle. You didn't get how long the lines were, or how thick they were, but, overall, it looks pretty good!

Your friends at Walter Hays,

Allyson and Daniel
