Vertical Composition with Blue and White

by Piet Mondrian :

Our word description of our abstract drawing:

Use markers! The paper that you use is 13 x 6 and a half inches. There are two long, black vertical lines. The black lines are 14 inches long. One is one inch from the edge of the paper (the left side). The right one is 2 and a half inches from the edge of the paper. There are also two short lines that are horizontal; they are 2 and a half inches long. The first one is one inch from the edge of the paper, that is the right side near the top, off of the right long black line.
The other is 3 and a half inches form the bottom of the paper.
The color of the lines is black. The background is light yellow or beige. The are of the one inch rectangle near the top is blue. For the other rectangle, you just use yellow.

 Reflections on our progress:

You did a wonderful job!! Everything is right except for the 3 and a half inch square. It is on the right side, also. We could have made that more clear.

We also said the background was beige. We had a lighter color beige in mind for the background. But, other than that, it was perfect!!
