Our word description of our original Alien drawing:

The alien takes up the whole paper. Everything is outlined in black.

Body:
The alien has a round head, three antennae, and two horns from a ram. He has a long neck and a large mouth with a tongue sticking out (the tongue has a diamond shape). The eyes have slanted eyebrows (one sad, one mad).

Head:
There is a bubble X for the body. He has a belt with a microchip in the middle. One arm from each side is touching two small buttons. There are four arms on each side. There are two teslacoil-like things with a zigzagged beam in the middle.

COLORS:

Head:
The head is purple. The ram horns, antennae, and neck are all orange. The mouth and eyes are black.

Body:
Yellow is on the outer half inch of the body. There is a half inch of blue next to the yellow. Green is on the inner part of the body. The arms are all red. The belt is blue and the buttons are black. The microchip is purple, orange, and green. The telacoil-like things are blue.

 Reflections on our progress:

Dear Roger & Rebecca,
You did a good job drawing Ekin. I guess you missed the part when we said, "Ram" horns. We thought you did a good job with the rest of the head. You needed to round your body a little bit. You might have overlooked the part when we said four arms on each side. You probably didn't know what teslacoils were, so we don't blame you for not drawing them. We should have told you more about our microchip, but we think your microchip is better than ours. You probably didn’t see the part at the top of the page were we said that our alien was outlined in black. The colors were good, but we don’t know what the black lines in the middle of the arms are. We should have told you the arms were pointed at the end. Overall your picture was great.
