My name is Michele Ann
Ketcham. I was born in San Francisco, California and have lived
in the Bay Area all of my life. I am an only child. School was
always a joy for me and this helped me decide early in my life
to become a teacher. I went to San Jose State University to get
my undergraduate degree in Child Development then attended the
College of Notre Dame in Belmont to earn my Teaching Credential.
Lastly, I attended UC Berkeley to get my Cross Languages Academic
Development certificate.
I have been teaching at
Walter Hays since 1997. I taught fourth grade for one year
and then moved to second grade. It is very special that
I teach second grade because my fondest memories from school was
from my second grade year. My teacher's name was Mrs. Marcella
and my best friend was Nicole. Nicole and I are still very
good friends today.
In July 2002, I was married
and my husband's name is Nick. Nick and I like to take day
trips to Tahoe to ski and snowboard. When the weather begins
to warm up, we play golf even though I am not very good at it.
My hobbies include: seeing my family and friends, traveling,
running, reading, skiing, and golfing.
