 My Self Portrait

LiAnn's re-creation of my self portrait

My description of my self portrait:

First, draw a big oval in pencil. Then lightly draw a horizontal line through the middle.
Then draw another line just like it halfway between the first line and the bottom of the oval. After that, draw another line like the first two halfway between the 2nd line and the bottom of the oval. Draw two outlines of eyes with points on the left and right of the eyes and the rest rounded. Then draw a small pupil inside the outline of the eyes. Next draw a blue-violet, not violet-blue, blue-viloet, circle surrounding the pupil in crayon. But, make sure the circle is connected to the top and bottom of the outline of the eye and is flat in those spots. Also, make sure that there is a reasonable amount of white in each eye. Then erase the remains of that line.

On the middle line, in pencil, draw a triangular shaped nose with rounded corners. Draw two nostrils like the pupils closer to the right side of my face. Next erase the rest of the middle line.

On the bottom line, outline lips with a line through the middle of them going horizontally. In crayon, draw them carnation pink. Next erase the rest of the bottom line.

Outline ears in pencil that start at the top of the eyes and end at the middle of the nose. Then color the whole thing in pen in the color Sandy Tan, except for the white spot in the eyes, and the pink mouth. You don't have to draw completely inside the lines; I didn't either.

Then draw a black San Francisco Giants hat in crayon on top of my head. The bill should come down to almost my eye on my right. It should be about an inch away from my eye on the left. The hat covers my eyebrows and hair.

 Reflections:

You did the color of the lips right, the color of the hat right, and the skin color almost right. I probably could have explained the hat better.

I thought I explained pretty clearly that my skin was in pen. I also think I said I had rounded corners. I also think I said that the ears started at the top[ of the eyes and ended at the middle of the nose.

All in all, it looks pretty good!
