My Self Portrait |
Emily's re-creation of my self portrait |
My description of my self portrait: I'm a girl. To start, select a plain white piece of paper and hold it vertically. In the center of the paper, draw an oval-shaped head with a black crayon or marker. Next, draw the outline of two almond-shaped and wide eyes in black. They are in the center of the head about the same distance away from the outline of my head as they are apart from each other. Then, in the center of my eyes, draw a dark-brown iris. In the center of each, make a black pupil. Over each eye, draw a thin eyelid with thin, black eyelashes. In black, make the outline of a long and wide nose coming down from the inside of each eye. My nose is about as long as my eyes are apart, and about the same width. Underneath my nose are my lips. They are as far away from my nose as my eyes are apart from each other. My lips are thick, plump, and are red with a black outline. Draw a thin, short neck outlined in black. Below my neck, draw a green shirt. Above my eyes, and a little farther up, draw a thick, brown arched eyebrow outlined in black. Draw some straight, thick, shoulder length medium-brown hair, outlined in black. You're done! |
Reflections: Dear Emily, Altogether, you did an outstanding job! The shape of the eyes is the same and they are the right color. The hair color is really good, too, although it could have been a little darker. However, it is the wrong length. You made it chin length instead of shoulder length. The lips are really goo, too, but could have been plumper. The neck was well done; however, it could have been thicker. My skin is darker, too. You also did really well on the shirt and on the whole painting! |
