My Self Portrait |
Sarah's re-creation of my self portrait |
My description of my self portrait: My picture is on a 9 x 12 inch piece of paper going vertically. I would suggest drawing the head in pencil. My head is oval shaped, like an egg. It gets narrower as you go to the bottom. My face is peach colored with slightly rosy cheeks. \My eyes are almond shaped. They are hazel and brown. My pupils are large and black. The black is drawn in with dark pencil. I have no eyebrows in my picture. My nose starts at the bottom of my eyes and goes down to my nostrils. My nostrils are 1/3 of the way up from my mouth, which is 1/3 of the way up from my chin. My chin is not pointy, but curved. My lips are pretty small, but not tiny. They are rose art hot tamale colored. They are in the middle of my nose and my chin. My mouth is closed. I am smiling slightly. My neck is thin and short. The sides are curved in. I am wearing a white t-shirt. Around the collar of the shirt are small little ruffles. My hair is straight and fine. The color of my hair is light brown. It is one inch below my shoulders. In the picture, it goes right up to the edge of my neck. My hair is in strands and surrounds my face. My bangs are tucked behind my ears. You cannot see my ears. For my hair, I used dark brown, brown, yellow, and tiny streaks of pencil. It hardly looks like this in real life. |
Reflections: You did well on the cheeks. You also got the skin color right. The shirt is the right color, too. I should have said to use crayon, and not to outline all pencil in black. I should have said not to make eyelids and to put two sides on the nose and to put in nostrils. Maybe you missed the part where I said to put hazel and brown and not just brown. Maybe you missed the part where I said to use rose art hot tamale. You got the measurements right and how my bangs are. The whole thing together was done pretty well! |
