 My Self Portrait

Marina's re-creation of my self portrait

My description of my self portrait:

Read before drawing. My picture is on an 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper. My paper is vertical. In my drawing, I used crayons. I'm a girl. A little less than two inches from the top, my head starts. About one and 1/2 of an inch my bangs and hair end in front. On the sides, my hair stops at my chin. I have medium brown hair. My head is 6 and 1$ of an inch (including hair) up and down. My face, side to side, is 5 and 2/3 of an inch wide, including hair. My eyebrows start 1/2 of an inch from where bangs end. My eyes start 1 and 1/4 from where my hair ends.

My eyes are 7/8 of an inch wide and half an inch up and down. My eyes are one inch apart. I have black, short eyelashes. My nose is directly in the middle of my eyes. About 3/4 down from my eyes, my nose starts. My nose comes out on both sides. You can see my two nostrils. My nose is 7/8 of an inch long.

My mouth is directly underneath my nose. My mouth is pinkish red. My mouth is straight. There There is a line horizontally in the middle from my upper and lower lip. My mouth is 3/4 of an inch under my nose. A little less than 1/2 an inch on each side are two dimples. Where my nose ends and to my right, until 1/2 an inch from my hair, there is a mole. My neck is 1 and 3/4 of an inch wide. It is 1 and 1/4 of an inch tall. My shoulders are like normal shoulders. Where they begin, they're 2 inches tall and where they go off the page they are one inch. I have a blue shirt on with a regular neckline. Good luck in trying to draw my face.

 Reflections:

I think that my partner did a fairly good job in the measurements. She also did well in the dimples. She did well in the color of my eyes and my shirt. She did well in the width of the neck and the color of the shirt. She did well on my nose, considering I didn't say much about it.

I also think I should have added more to my description. I should have said my shoulders go off the sides of the page, instead of saying just that my shoulders go off the page. I should have said my hair was darker. I also should have said I had no eyelashes on the bottom and my eyebrows are black.
