Mystery Painting 10-27

 The Real Mondrian

Our Hoover Partners' Painting from Our Description

 Our Description of the Painting:

The shape of the painting is a horizontal rectangle that is about 11 inches long. There are two horizontal lines that go from edge to edge across the painting. The bottom horizontal line is an inch away from the bottom.

There are four vertical lines on the top horizontal lines. The first one is an inch away from the top left hand corner. There is another line about four inches away from that line. There is another line about three inches away and the fourth line in one inch away from the third line. On the bottom half of the painting there are four vertical lines that are thick. They are right below the top thin lines. The upper left rectangle is red. The two bottom right rectangles and square are yellow. The square is on the left and the rectangle is on the right.

 Reflection on Our Progress:

We think our partners did some of the lines in the right places. The horizontals and the verticals were very straight and well painted. They did the colors in the right places, except, we did describe two yellow rectangles, and they only painted one.

We could have been more specific by telling them to leave a white space between the two long horizontal lines, because in their painting, the vertical lines crossed through the middle. Also, there should be white space on the left-hand side of the page. We could have described that better.
