Our Hoover Partners' Painting from Our Description |

Our Description of the Painting: First, draw a long rectangle all the way across the paper, not in the middle of the paper, but a fourth of the way up. Then draw a thick, black line a half of an inch away from the lower left hand corner, from the line to the bottom edge. Then draw about two inches away from the thick line that you just drew. Now draw another line, but an itsy bit skinnier. Then, about an inch and a half away from the one that you just drew, draw another exactly like it. Fill between the two that you just drew - fill them with yellow. Then from the last one you drew, fill with yellow once more. Now at the left upper hand corner, draw four and a half inches away from the edge , a skinny, skinny line, and fill the space between the edge and the line with red. Then about two and a half inches away from the one you just drew, draw a line the same size, but a little bit fatter. Then, about two inches away, draw a line the same size. |
Reflection on Our Progress: Our partners painted the yellow rectangles correctly. They did the thick line correctly, and the two skinnier lines correctly. Our description was very confusing, because they only painted six lines out of the ten that we tried to describe. The way that we described the lines left out some important details. Our partners did miss some of the details from the last paragraph, such as the red part. We could have done several things better: we could have told them to draw the lines straight; we could have been more specific about where the lines should be; and we could have said to make the painting very clean and precise. |
