Mystery Painting 5-15

 The Real Rothko

Our Hoover Partners' Painting from Our Description

 Our Description of the Painting:

Read this description all the way through. Then go back for information. The painting is dark purple with a lighter purple and white with a little white splashed in it. The background is one inch thick. The background is light purple, but lighter than the other lighter purple.

There are three rectangles. The rectangles have round edges. They are not perfect, but they look like rectangles. The rectangles are dark purple, lighter purple, and then the last one is white. The dark purple rectangle is the size of the other two rectangles put together. The other two rectangles are the same size. Each is the same size. Each is half the size of the purple rectangle. The picture is hot dog style.

The rectangles are heading vertically. The order of the rectangles are dark purple on the left, lighter purple in the middle, and white with some light dabs of purple dabbed on it.

 Reflection on Our Progress:

You did the color on the two rectangles on the right correctly. You did the size on the one rectangle on the left correctly, too. We wrote that the picture is horizontal and the rectangles were vertical. You drew the rectangles horizontally. You also drew all the spots in the background, and the almost white rectangle.
