The staples listed above can be purchased most inexpensively at discount stores.
| 2 cups flour | 2 T cooking oil |
| 2 cups water | 4 t cream of tartar |
| 1 cup salt | extract & food coloring |
Place extract and food coloring in water; place all ingredients in a shallow frying pan. Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to pull away from sides of pan. Stir well. When mixed (about 3 - 5 minutes), turn out onto pieces of waxed paper. Knead while warm. Voila!! Playdough.
*As long as it is kept in a tightly sealed container, this playdough will last forever.
