In order to maintain a classroom that allows all students to learn and thrive, your children and I have generated a classroom discipline plan based on the key components of respect, kindness, and caring. Please read and discuss the following rules, consequences, and rewards with your child.
Classroom Rules:
1. Treat others as you want to be treated.
2. Be an active listener.
3. Raise your hand to share.
4. Hands and mouths are for helping.
5. Cooperate, think positive, and have fun!
Consequences:
When a student chooses not to follow rules:
Students are free and encouraged to take time outs if on their own they feel they need a quiet moment.
Rewards:
Our class is working hard to be the best they can be. Positive
behaviors and good choice making will be accentuated and acknowledged.
Please discuss this plan with your child. They are familiar with all of its dynamic. They are integral to our goals of building a classroom of cooperation, a circle of friends, and a safe environment in which to make positive choices. Together we will continue to help the children become super students and quality citizens of our community.
Please sign and return the attached portion.
Thank you for your support,
